Starting at 12:01am on Wednesday, February 26, Johnny Cash fans around the world can come together to celebrate the The Man In Black’s birthday by joining in the global initiative to Light Up A Star For Johnny Cash’s Birthday. By visiting http://smarturl.it/CashBDay, fans can send @JohnnyCash a birthday wish via Facebook and Twitter using the hashtag #JohnnyCash and preview the title track from the upcoming unreleased Cash album OUT AMONG THE STARS.

This global event begins at the international dateline in the first time zones (Kiribati Island and New Zealand), then rolls around the world before ending at midnight in the last time zones (Hawaii and American Samoa). Throughout the day, birthday messages will be displayed on the landing page, and fans will be able to see their personal star in the sky attached to their birthday wish. Fans can also roll over stars in the sky to read other birthday wishes for Johnny Cash.
