Johnny Cash Heritage Marker Placed At Arkansas Courthouse

Nov16Post_Feat

A new Arkansas historical marker was recently installed at the Cleveland County Courthouse in Rison. It’s the fourth and final one in a series commemorating Johnny Cash’s Cleveland County roots. This one tells the story of Cash’s Arkansas ancestry and how, even at the height of his fame and success, he would still return home for family reunions held at the old Legion Hut across the street.

Did you know Johnny Cash was an ordained minister? And did you know he used the secret alias “William Overton”? Read the marker to find out more!
